Why did we shake our hands,

When we knew one day we will wave each other goodbye,

Why did we laugh out loud,

When we knew these memories will make us cry,

Why we became so special to each other,

When we knew one day our messages won’t even say “Hi!“,

Why did we promise to be together forever,

When we knew one day we won’t even try,

Why did we do all that fun,

Just for a flashback before we die????

  2. Beautiful lines! Really emotive.
    Life has to be like this! There are many separations, many deaths. But some memories do last a lifetime. When I look back, I feel really good about being fortunate enough to have people, these memories complete incomplete stories! ☺

  3. So true it really hurts when someone stops responding suddenly…..who use to be available for us always….leaving the memories behind……but bcz of that …. nly we meet new people & new frnds…..who know the worth of a true frndship……..☺

    1. I’m really sorry but that wasn’t a part of my poem. It was about separations like after school, college or divorce.
      When someone stops responding suddenly, that hurts way more than any separation. And for some people, it becomes impossible to trust anyone again in their lives.
      Yes, we do meet some people who really know what true friendship or any other relationship mean. But they are very rare. Some are not fortunate enough to have true friends but I believe you are not among those unfortunate people.
      I was going to say “have a good day” but I think it would be better if I say…have a great night.😊✌

  6. Beautiful thoughts veerey.. Dil ko choo gaya coz I can understand..

    Every person walks into our life for a reason… They make us the person who we are, sometimes there presence add to our personality and sometimes there leaving are the reason of our strength… It all depends on how we take… I can relate to what u mean..but again it’s on us what we want to think… No doubt it hurts.. but it also give strength coz, I believe what happened is for good..
